I'm 46 and I have some skin aging spots on my face. How can I cover them?

Hi - great question!  To give your face an all-over even complexion, I strongly suggest using a primer.  Primers smooth the skin, prep it for makeup application and extend makeup longevity - a winner all-around!  (I love the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Primer!)  Apply primer after washing and moisturizing your face and before you apply your foundation or powder.  Good luck!

I like to use loose powder to set my foundation. I am 40. Lately I've noticed that this just makes my skin look dry and aged. I can tell it accentuates my fine lines. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you

Great question and a common problem.  To keep the complexion smooth, I would recommend starting with a primer to color correct, smooth the skin and extend makeup longevity.  I love the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting primer as it not only color corrects and preps skin, but it also fills in fine lines for a more youthful appearance.  I'd also suggest using a mineral powder to set your foundation and apply, if possible, with a kabuki brush for a perfectly airbrushed looking complexion.

does "How to Conceal anything" really conceal it with out looking you have caked on 10lbs of make up?

The key to good coverage is color correction!  Use green to counteract redness and yellow to counteract blues and purples (aka those pesky under eye circles!).  They even have tinted primers to help with this - I love the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Primer in green!  After you've color corrected, top off the look with a flesh toned foundation or powder.  This way you're streamlining your makeup while still getting the desired effect!

What is the best way to apply bronzer so it looks even and not fake?

To keep skin looking naturally (and safely!) sun-kissed, I suggest applying bronzer in a "3".  Across the forehead, around to the cheek bone and around to the chin.  It's important to bronze the areas that would be touched by the sun, so don't forget the nose and ears and bring the bronzer down your neck or chest if you're wearing a lower cut top.  Also, keep your color natural looking and choose a bronzer that is no more than two shades darker than your natural coloring.

what is the best face make up to use.

That totally depends on what your looking for and your particular skin type.  I would definitely suggest exploring the Physicians Formula website, www.physiciansformula.com.  It has so many items to choose from, and I'm sure you'll find a perfect fit!

How do I know what shade of foundation I should use. I would like to try the mineral line

I'm a strong believer in testing face makeup shades on the face (not on the neck or the hand or the arm).  It you're wearing it on your face, test it on your face.  Good luck!

Can I use the Bronze Booster alone without the foundation? Do you all carry the Bronze Booster in Fair to Light ? Haven't been able to find it in the stores or on line. Thank you

Yes, you can certainly wear Bronze Booster alone or with a foundation, power or tinted moisturizer.  It's completely up to you!  And yes, it is available in Fair to Light.  Check out www.physiciansformula.com for a full listing of retailers. Good luck!

can I use the multicolored physicians face palette in peach-glow' and the beige multicolored face player if I'm African American. I have Sanaa Latham complexion or a Wendy Raquel complexion. And what concealer can I use that is mineral. I only like mineral makeup period

Hi!  Yes, that palette would love fantastic on your skin tone!  It will illuminate and definitely give your skin a radiant glow.  I'd use this palette all-over the face, and I'd also use the individual stripes as highlighters and eye shadows.  You can even use on the lips and top it off with clear gloss for a shimmering nude shade.  It's an amazing all-in-one product - perfect for small clutches and busy multi-taskers!  In terms of concealer, it's hard to name one specific item since I'm not sure what you're trying to conceal, but I'm a huge fan of the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral  Correcting Concealers and Correcting Pressed Powder.  Good Luck!

what is the best eyeshadow primer?

The great news is you can use something you already have in your makeup bag. Dab concealer on top of your lid, and it will provide a flawless canvas to apply eyeshadow. It will also help your eyeshadow last longer.

How do you pick a year round foundation color if you're lighter in the winter and a little tanner in the summer months? thanks :)

This is a great question! You won't be able to wear the same foundation all year long because your skin tone changes from season to season. You should assess your skin every season and make adjustments to your foundation. You will need a darker foundation in the summer, and you may even be able to get away with a tinted moisturizer in the summer.
