Blend 1+2 and brush powder over face and neck to even out complexion. Use 1 in the areas of the face with natural shadows for a soft highlighting effect. Use 2 to contour and sculpt. For the most even application be sure to tap excess powder from brush before applying. For best results on dry to very dry skin, apply moisturizer prior to using powder.

I like that it has a lighter and darker shade because sometimes I tan & sometimes I don't, however the two shades are so close that there isn't a whole lot of difference in coloring, even if you're only using the dark shade to contour. I absolutely love the coverage. It leaves you with a nice glow without looking shiny/oily. It blends very easily & has staying power. My complaint is the packaging and brush. The container it comes in is designed to allow you to use both colors at the same time, but you have to shake it to get them out to the surface, which creates a huge mess/loss of product. Aside from actually getting the powder out to use it, the brush they supply isn't the best. It is pretty course & I felt it was a bit rough/scratchy on my skin. So I'm looking into using a different brush. The product itself is great and does what it says it will. I would buy again/recommend to anyone looking for full coverage that doesn't feel heavy.

I have used Bare Minerals and Maybelline mineral wear foundation, but I prefer this one. It gives a light coverage when worn alone, but a light/medium coverage when worn over a bb cream or tinted moisturizer. I would wear this to my waitressing job and it held up pretty well even after a 10 hour shift. I don't really understand the "duo" part of it though. I just use both the colors at once because I don't notice much of a difference in the two.
