I'm fair skinned, freckle a little, dk blonde w/dk eyebrows, lashes & oily, sensitive, acne prone skin. I've accidentally bought the Translucent & it's too dark. I like this compact because it doesn't make me break out! AND it doesn't make me orange or exaggerate the pores around my nose/cheeks.
I don't like that the Trans. Light has parabens listed in the ingredients on the box & Translucent does not. It doesn't offer as much coverage as I'd like. It is a matte and more sheer finish.
I've tried the Mineral Wear Airbrushing Loose Powder in Transl. light (clear/silver egg shape) & it offers more coverage but is a bit orange. Mineral Wear Airbrushing Pressed Powder in Translucent (blue compact) gives more coverage too & is a tad too dk but I like it better than the loose powder.
I didn't know until recently there is a chart to compare compacts, here on the PF website & that's where I learned these products have varying levels of coverage. This is the pressed powder I'll alway buy.

My new favourite pressed powder. I wear this as my foundation -- alone over my moisturizer. I love it! Light to medium build-able coverage without a heavy feel. Skin can breathe. The finish is matte at first and settles to a nice natural finish. I have repurchased this many times and will continue to. It replaced my Clinique Almost Powder -- which was a lot more money.
I purchased mineral wear face powder because my shade in my usual brand was unavailable and I was too busy to run to another store. I wish I hadn't. Same coverage as my usual brand but I have only had it 2 weeks an I an seeing the bottom of the compact! My usual brand lasts almost 2 months. What a rip off!
