Ten Years Later, Still My Favorite!

I have been using this powder ever since grade school. I discovered it in my local drugstore, and used it even during my worst acne years. I abandoned it later in life, when I discovered Sephora and name-brand / expensive / designer brand liquid foundation. For the past few years I experimented with liquid foundations, and though the extra effort at first made me feel more glamorous, I realized that my face no longer looked like skin! Even with the lightest liquid foundations in the expensive market, I still ended up with greasy, slippery or shiny skin at the end of the day. It was pretty nasty, and clearly exacerbated my acne. I ditched the fancy foundations, focused my attentions on healing my skin, and today, I returned to Physicians Formula powder in translucent. I have never felt so beautiful, light, natural, shine-free, and like I have nothing on my skin to hide! My skin appears smooth, blemish free, and healthy. Ten years later, still my favorite! I'll never ditch this again!

Great Powder!

I love this powder! It has the right amount of coverage and is the perfect color for my skin tone! It is light but has great coverage that is build able.

quality consistency

Okay, I have to say I have been using this (talc-free mineral face powder, translucent) for good 10 years. As I am sure a lot of people do I have strayed and tried this and that. A lot more expensive products, but I always come back to this. It is simply the best! People compliment me on my skin and are surprised when I tell them I am wearing makeup! That's how it should be. Makeup should make you look and feel good without being seen. I never write reviews! But for a good year now I have a problem with the translucent powder. I had to throw it out 4 times because the color was only sitting on top, not all the way thru. Beneath it was only the yellow product all the way thru to the bottom. No color! I am at the point I don't want to buy it anymore. In the package it looks alright until you start using it you can't tell. What is going on? Does anybody else have this problem? I have rosacea and very sensitive skin and this product does not irritate at all. Please fix!

False advertisement.- a complete disappointment!

Considering this brand (Physician's Formula) is claimed to be "hypoallergenic", I can't emphasize enough how EXTREMELY disappointing it is that this pressed powder contains parabens- a known skin allergen for people with sensitive skin. It can cause flare-ups of skin irritation, contact dermatitis, and rosacea <br />I'm one of those people with sensitive skin, which is why I need hypoallergenic makeup. To my dismay, my skin has had adverse reactions of painful, skin-damaging cystic acne each time after using this product. Next time, I'll be sure to read the ingredients. Apparently, hypoallergenic doesn't REALLY mean hypoallergenic.
